T-shirts and books are just a few of the items that will be available through The Ridge Runner online store!


The proceeds from the sale of items in the store will be used to provide access at no cost to resource materials developed by The Ridge Project to scholars from colleges and universities on topics such as The Creek Indians, the Federal Road and Alabama Fever.  In addition, plans are to offer offer a student fellowship each summer to a middle or high school student.  Proceeds from sales and donations will fund the fellowship program.


Regional Heritage Souvenirs

The Ridge Runner online store will offer a selection of souvenirs unique to The Ridge Project area and the Black Belt Region.

The Ridge Historical Abstracts Series

The Ridge Runner online store will offer a series of interpretive abstracts on historical and cultural topics about The Ridge free and enslaved pioneer families, archaeology, people, places and events.

The operation of the Ridge Runner Online store is a means to support The Ridge Project's charitable mission to provide educational resources to teachers and scholars.  


The proceeds from the sale of items in the store and from donations will be used to support programs and projects such as developing and offering  educational kits containing tools that teachers can use to implement interactive and engaging units and lessons for students.

These materials will encompass a variety of topics related to The Ridge history and heritage that aligns with state curriculum standards. The kits will be available to teachers through a loan system at no charge. Proceeds from items sold will also be used to support interactive student learning experiences held on site at The Ridge such as a hands-on archaeological dig, or a visit to a historic church or cemetery in conjunction with classroom lessons.
